procrastination

I always keep an eye out for new [funny] websites to check periodically. mostly because I feel odd sitting without my computer in front of me, even when I'm eating, watching tv, whatever... I also get bored by the websites quickly(ish) so I need a looong list.
check it out (in reverse alphabetical order):

textsfromlastnight.com
initially awesome, this website is a list of-oh wait-texts from last night (sort of last night). they are funny, often inappropriate, and theoretically describe situations that the sender may have been in "last night" or sent "last night."
I really don't check it anymore, but I must say that I do enjoy a good tfln that pops up on my facebook or whatever.

stumbleupon.com
you choose categories and when you click "stumble" in the upper left hand corner, you will stumble through a variety of websites (according to your choices).
this is fun. I have found hilarious comics, random funny quotes, new interesting websites, delicious-looking recipes, etc. unfortunately, you also hit quite a few duds... try it out

sporcle.com
a wonderful source of mini quizzes on almost everything. there are new quizzes every day and many I keep going back to. I have mastered the 100 most common words in the english language several times and it really doesn't get old. (yeah, you want to try it now). I am disappointed that there are not more german quizzes though...

passiveaggressivenotes.com
self explanatory. very funny.

likealittle.com
this is like craig's list's missed connections (notes posted on a website to someone's description) except for college. it's amusing. however, it updates too fast for me. I don't want to check it that often. so then I've missed some and lost interest. it's slightly romantic though and interesting. you might know the person and you know the place. relatability is key.

lamebook.com
over the summer, lamebook tried to make people get accounts to access the website. so not worth it, this website is full of screenshots from facebook of things people have messed up or are just stupid about.

dontevenreply.com
this guy sends fake messages to craig's list ads and posts the email conversations online. it's sometimes mean but almost always funny.

dearblankpleaseblank.com
currently on my most checked websites, this one is great. there are a bundle of letters to and from a person/group of people/thing. this description kind of sucks but trust me you have to check it out. like now.

damnyouautocorrect.com
a list of mostly texts where the iPhone (mostly) has corrected a normal word to be something completely different.

*twitter and facebook will be discussed in another post, but it must be mentioned that you are not doing your job as a procrastinator if you do not have accounts for at least one. ideally both.

blogging is also a good source of procrastination. get one, I will follow you.
